Christopher Davey

Board of Education (2021–2025)

Chris is an editor and small business owner with a B.A. in psychology and English from Marlboro College and an M.A. in English from Georgetown University.

Chris has served on the Board of Education since 2015. He chairs the BOE’s policy subcommittee and also serves on the curriculum and personnel committees. Until 2021, he was also the board representative to the Bolton Scholarship Fund and the Capital Region Education Council.

Before serving four years (2017–2021) as a regular member of the Planning and Zoning Commission, Chris was an alternate member and was deeply involved in crafting the town’s latest Plan of Conservation and Development. He has represented Bolton on the Regional Planning Commission of the Capital Region Council of Governments (and served as alternate representative through 2018).

Chris cochaired the annual PTA Career Day program at Bolton Center School for many years before COVID. Chris is also secretary of the Bolton Scholarship Fund, former chair of the Bolton Democratic Town Committee (2018–2022), a supporter of Bolton Music Works and the Bolton Land Trust, and a former coach with the Bolton Soccer Club.

In the spring of 2015 he served as a parent and community representative on the superintendent’s Strategic Planning Committee, which produced the Bolton School District’s first long-term strategic plan.

Chris has twenty-three years’ experience in the publishing industry. A former manager with a publisher of K-12 mathematics and language arts programs, he started his own editorial services business in 2000 and now has clients around the world. He has also founded and managed two veterinary practices with his wife, Dr. Letrisa Miller, most recently Connecticut Feline Medicine and Surgery in Manchester. He and Letrisa have a daughter who attends Bolton High School.
