Bolton Heritage Weekend kicks off this Saturday with a family tree–making event at the Bentley Memorial Library (11–2). Cookies will be served!
Then at 11:30 at the Bolton Congregational Church, Fire Chief Bruce Dixon presents the history of the Bolton Volunteer Fire Department, which is celebrating 75 years of service to Bolton. Thanks to the Bolton Historical Society (and to BHS president and ZBA member John Toomey) for sponsoring the event
At 2:30, also at BCC, the Bolton Land Trust hosts “Fermentation with Friends.”
From 4:30 to 6:00 the Bolton United Methodist Church hosts an Italian dinner with proceeds to benefit MACC and Bolton PTA “No Kid Hungry” (cofounded by BOE member Kate Gallé, this program helps ensure that no Bolton student goes without food on weekends and school breaks).
On Sunday, from 1:00 to 3:00, the Heritage Farm barn will be open for tours, and the Heritage Farm Commission will hold a tag sale to benefit the farm. Thank you to the commission and to commission chair (and First Selectman candidate and current BOS member) Sandra Pierog for all your efforts in organizing these events!
