Katherine Gallé
Kate is the owner and operator of SVP Tours, specializing in tours of France and Spain, and an attorney who has lived in Bolton for ten years. She earned a B.S. from Fordham University and received her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law.
A member of the Board of Education from 2013 until her resignation in 2018, Kate was chair of the Policy and Communications/Community subcommittees. Before being elected to BOE, she was a leader of the Bolton PTA, serving two terms as president, serving as vice president, and chairing the PTA’s legislative advocacy committee.
Kate is chair of the Bolton PTA’s “No Kid Hungry” backpack program, which provides backpacks of food to feed Bolton schoolchildren who are most at risk for going hungry on the weekends.
She is also a member of the Bolton Women’s Club, Bolton Music Works, and Bolton Land Trust and a volunteer with her sons’ hockey teams. Currently she is the team manager for her son Patrick’s ECHO hockey team in Bolton.
She has two boys, ages 12 and 14, who have attended Bolton Public Schools. She was a member of the Superintendent’s Advisory Committee under superintendent Paul Smith, has volunteered in classrooms, been a member of the PTA Career Day committee, and helped spearhead the “Rachel’s Challenge” program (an anti-bullying program) in the Bolton Center School and Bolton High School.
As an attorney, she has experience as a litigator, representing schools and other organizations, both in and out of the courtroom. She has experience negotiating contracts and advising schools with regard to their rights and responsibilities as well as state mandates.
