Marilee Manning

I have lived in Bolton for twenty-nine years, and I and my husband, Tom, raised our three children here.

I grew up in Coventry and graduated form the University of Connecticut. From 1976 to 1994, I worked for the State of Connecticut regarding family issues. My last position was as a family relations counselor in the judicial department. For twelve years I worked as a substitute teacher in the Bolton schools.

Tom and I adopted our children in 1994, and three years later I began substitute teaching for Bolton, which continued for twelve years.

During the past seven years, I was the caretaker for my parents, who had moved into our home.

I’ve been a lifelong communicant of St. Maurice Church, where I sing in the choir, work with our Christmas Fair group, taught religious classes, and have helped run the town’s food distribution program for many years. I was part of the Interfaith Housing Committee and I also belong to the Grange.
