Kim Miller

My name is Kim Miller, and I’m running for a second term on the Bolton Board of Selectmen. My husband, Brian, and I have been living in Bolton since 2001. We have two boys, Bryce (12) and Riley (10), who attend Bolton Center School.

For nearly 20 years I have been an IT program and project manager, first with the Mass Mutual Financial Group and currently with Cigna Healthcare, where I am IT program management director.

Although my bachelor’s degree is in psychology and my master’s in school counseling, I manage large IT projects—everything from the initial needs assessment to planning, budget, and resource management; process improvement; and end-to-end execution.

As a member of the Board of Selectmen, I would draw on these same professional skills to help make the town more efficient, professional, and transparent.

I have been involved in various volunteer activities over the years. I was treasurer for the board of the Hans Christian Andersen Montessori School from 2011 to 2014 and have been heavily involved with the Hartford Marathon Foundation as a member of its core planning committee. I have been a judge for the CT Invention Convention and have participated in numerous school fundraising activities and as a parent volunteer.

Brian and I have loved living in Bolton the past 18 years. We enjoy the great small-town community and everything it has to offer. The high-quality schools and community spirit are what originally drew us to Bolton, and the people we have met over the years have solidified our love for the town.

We’ve have spent hours kayaking on Bolton Lake, using the bike path, the Rose Trail at Heritage Farm, and hiking on the Lombardi Ridge Preserve—not to mention biking and running all around town and playing with the kids at Herrick Park or at the fields at the schools.

We love this town, and the people in it. I’m running for the Board of Selectmen to help keep Bolton a great place!
